First our door wouldn't close completely. Two different lights didn't have light bulbs. Smoke detector was laid on the dresser not connected with no battery. Bed was broken. Then I find out the next morning that the receptionist who checked us in and took my payment did not even put us in the system and there was no record that I had even paid for my room
Reserved a non-smoking room. When we arrived, checked in, swiped the credit card, we were informed it was a smoking room and that was all they had. Room smelled like an ashtray. We got a refund and stayed somewhere else.
We stayed at the Deluxe Inn (room 210) in York SC. The place was very clean and comfortable. Pool was closed but that's ok. The mini fridge in the room didn't cool very well, water pressure kinda sucked, but other than that it was a good stay.
I think the sheets were clean???? That is all I can say good.the towels were so hard they scratched our skin. Filthy, spiders, roaches, and too small for a chair. So disappointed. York, SC deserves much better then this. I will not stay there again. I saw them clean our room, a wash cloth tied to a handle and wet floor only where u walk. Tub dirty and corners in rooms and bath full of filth. The business is there if a clean nice chain would build in York, SC.
Room was clean and well maintained, some tile damage but nothing to worry about. The minus star was because of the lackluster breakfast. The waffle mix was watered down and the selection of everything else was poor. Save your time and go to the waffle house or sonic next door.
